Privacy Policy

Find Independent Insurance (“we,” “us”), operated by Get Talky Inc. ("Relay"), is a directory and intake service that helps people find independent insurance agencies and submit a single quote request. We are not an insurance agency, broker, or carrier, and we do not provide quotes, advice, or coverage. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have.

Information you give us.When you submit a quote request or an agency claim, we collect what you provide — for example your name, email, phone number, city/ZIP, the coverage you’re looking for, and (for agencies) your agency name and producer license number. We also record that you gave consent and the version of the consent text shown.

Information we collect automatically. Basic technical details that accompany your request — IP address, browser/user-agent, the page you submitted from, referring page, and any campaign (UTM) parameters — used to record context and prevent abuse.

Agency portal and billing. If you claim an agency listing, we collect your work contact details, producer license number, the profile content you add, and sign-in records. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe; we receive subscription status and billing identifiers, and we never store full card numbers.

Cookies.We use a small number of cookies: ones essential to the site (including a session cookie for signed-in agency portal users), and an optional cookie that remembers your approximate state (derived at our edge network) so we can suggest your local page. See “Cookies and analytics” below.

We use the information described above to:

• route your request to participating independent insurance agencies that serve your area so they can contact you;
• send you a confirmation that we received your request;
• operate the agency portal, verify producer licenses, deliver routed requests, and process subscriptions;
• send service emails and, for agency accounts, occasional setup tips and activity summaries you can stop with one click;
• operate, secure, and improve the service and prevent fraud or abuse;
• comply with law and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We are not a lead broker and we do not distribute your details to a list of buyers. Routing your request to agencies you asked us to connect you with happens at your direction, consistent with the consent shown before you submit; it is not a sale or sharing for advertising under state privacy laws.

We share your information only:

• with participating independent agencies matched to your request (up to three), so they can contact you as described in the consent statement;
• with service providers who operate the site on our behalf (e.g., hosting, email delivery, database, and Stripe for subscription payments) under contracts that limit their use to providing those services;
• when required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.

Once a request is routed, the receiving agency handles your information as an independent business under its own privacy practices. Participating agencies agree to use your request only to respond about the insurance you asked for and to honor opt-out requests.

When you submit a request, you consent to be contacted about insurance by the matched agency by phone, text, or email at the details you provide, consistent with the consent statement shown on the form. Message and data rates may apply. Your consent isn’t a condition of any purchase, and you can opt out at any time by telling the agency or contacting us.

We use essential cookies and, if enabled, privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage. On claimed agency profiles we count page views in aggregate so agencies can see their profile activity; these counters are not used to build profiles of visitors. We honor browser “Global Privacy Control” signals as an opt-out of any sale/share where applicable — though, as noted, we do not sell or share your information for advertising in the first place.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do neither), and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA) and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have these rights; we extend the core rights to all U.S. residents.

To exercise a right, email hello@findindependentinsurance.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time the law requires. You may use an authorized agent where permitted.

We keep request information for as long as needed to route it, support the agency relationship, meet legal and recordkeeping obligations (including proof of consent), and resolve disputes, then delete or de-identify it.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Agency listings are compiled from public insurance-licensing records and public geographic data. They describe businesses, not consumers. An agency can claim or correct its listing. See how we source data.
